Payroll | "Include Entire Shift"Checkbox

The "Include entire shift with starting period" checkbox will make sure that Time Clock Punches that begin in one pay period and end in the next are not split in two, resulting in half of the punch being counted on the current report and half of the punch being counted on the next report.

 

Example: A Payroll report runs from 6/12/2022 12:00am to 6/26/2022 12:00am.
An employee had a shift from 6/25/2022 10:00pm to 6/26/2022 6:00am.

 

If the "Include entire shift with starting period" box is unchecked, the report will only include 6/25/2022 10:00pm to 6/26/2022 12:00am.

 

If the "Include entire shift with starting period" box is checked, the report will include the entire shift from 6/25/2022 10:00pm to 6/26/2022 6:00am.

 

*NOTE:* If you use this feature, be sure to use it every time you run payroll to avoid duplicating punches.

 

1. Go to "Reports"

 

2. Select "Payroll"

 

 

3. Select desired options

 

4. Check the "Include entire shift with starting period" checkbox

 

5. Click "Update"
